As much as you may want to hate Clay Travis, he was absolutely spot on with his assessment of the Alabama fanbase he did a few weeks ago. 15% of the fanbase are respectable college students or graduates with every right to boast the Tide. The rest are just typical rednecks with no connection to the school that mar the State of Alabama.
This video, released during the summer, actually beat Clay to the punch, and it holds no punches. And with all due respect to the 15%, you know every bit of it is correct about the 85%.

Love part where hammers insert RTR in to everyday lingo even where not appropriate…2 true examples this week alone from Facebook: ” my best friend died a year ago today…RTR” and “check out this pic of my dog’s food …RTR”. Sad enough, they are both grads of UA…with 17 on their ACTs and 1.7 GPA out of HS

This is so typical of a rival to try and sensationalize their nemisis in a bad way. For starters the state of Alabama would only be about 1/3rd full of true rednecks. Secondly the state is 28 percent African American but of course nobody will touch that with a 10 foot pole because your scared to say anything about them but you can’t wait to throw white rednecks under the bus because that’s socially acceptable and was probably taught to you in whatever kind of liberal public school system you were brought up in. Lastly if you go to any small town or to any big city you will see thousands upon thousands of Alabama flags on middle class to wealthy houses. Much of Alabama’s old money from Mobile to Birmingham is still all Alabama fans and graduates, when we go to Atlanta to the dome or Pasedena for the Rose Bowl opposing fans have always took notice and how well dressed and classy we are. Just like every other prominent SEC power, Auburn inlcuded: but to make yourselves feel better you try and show UofA’s horrible side. Which with a fanbase as broad as ours throughout the country naturally you will have less than desireable fans, just ask LSU, Ohio Sate Texas and Oklahomas of the world. Honestly, I hope for a good game Saturday. Gus has y’all on the right track. Roll Tide.

I wish whomever he writes for needs to realize he is a total flop at writing! There is just as many auburn fans that never went to the barn! I am appalled with this! I am a true BAMA fan and proud of who I am!!! This guy must be smoking crack!
