A Thank You Note from John Pawlowski

Tonight, I received an email that included a thank you note from Jay Jacobs that included a thank you note from Auburn head baseball coach John Pawlowski. Have a read:

Dear Auburn Family,

It's great to be an Auburn Tiger. The incredible spirit of the Auburn Family came through once again for the 2010 NCAA Baseball Regional. On behalf of the Auburn Athletic Department, I want to personally thank you for your support of our baseball team.

The game-day atmosphere made the NCAA Regional an event to remember for our players, and most especially our seniors who had never before experienced the post-season. Those memories will last a lifetime for every one of them.

I know you join me in congratulating Coach John Pawlowski, his staff and our student-athletes on an outstanding season. With your support and his leadership, we look forward to many great years to come.

To the Auburn Family,

On behalf of our players and our staff, I want to thank you for helping make the 2010 baseball season a truly special one.

Hosting the NCAA Regional was an incredible experience for our players because of you and your support. From the sell-out crowds who filled the stadium and packed the Terrace, to the thousands of fans who lined the parking deck and watched from the hillside, the atmosphere was phenomenal.

I can't tell you how much your support means to our players and to our baseball program. While we still have work to do to build the sort of championship program we all want to see, the 2010 season was a huge step forward for Auburn baseball.

A special thanks also goes to our loyal season ticket holders who support us year after year, game after game. Your loyalty and your passion mean more to our players than you could possibly know.

When Jay Jacobs hired me as Auburn's baseball coach, he told me that Auburn is a special place. The incredible spirit and support that you showed during the 2010 NCAA Regional made all of us realize that not only is Auburn University a truly special place. Auburn fans are the best in the country.

We appreciate your support, and we hope to see you at the 2011 baseball season opener.
