UA Students interested in purchasing a SEC Championship game ticket must be placed on a ticket request list beginning Monday, November 11. Students must opt in to add themselves to the request list between 7:00 am on Monday, November 11, and 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 12. This process will add you to the request list only. It is not s first come first serve process.
To be placed on the request list you must go to the home tab of myBama and click the “Opt in to Request SEC Championship Student Football Ticket” channel. You will receive a confirmation page that you may print for your record. Please remember, if you received penalties last season that affected your ability to purchase a ticket package this year, those penalties apply to your eligibility to purchase this year’s post-season ticket.
Students eligible to add themselves to the ticket request list must be currently enrolled students who have confirmed their schedule for the fall semester and meet the Student Eligibility for Attending Athletic Events policy as described at http://studentreceivables.ua.edu/Student_Eligibility_Athletic_Events.html. In addition to those criteria, you must not have gone over the restrictions set forth by the SGA for late donations, unused home game tickets or student guest upgrades. For details on the restrictions, click here: http://actcard.ua.edu/pages/MyTicket%20FAQ.html.
Students are asked to add themselves to the request list only if they plan to purchase a SEC Championship ticket, in the event they meet the earned hours cut off.
For the SEC Championship game, tickets will be distributed on an “80/20” percentage to all students. Eighty percent of the student SEC Championship tickets will be allocated to undergraduate students, and 20 percent of the student SEC Championship tickets will be allocated to graduate and professional level students.
If the number of student ticket requests in either the undergraduate 80 percent, or graduate 20 percent exceeds the allotted number of student tickets for the SEC Championship game, tickets will be distributed in descending UA earned hours until the student ticket allotment is exhausted.
On, Wednesday, November 13th, an email will be sent to students who are eligible to purchase a ticket. The distribution will be determined by the number of UA hours completed through the summer of 2013. Students eligible to purchase a ticket will be able to complete their purchase online through the Athletic Ticket Office website starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, November 14. The deadline for students to pay for their ticket is Friday, November 15, at 5 p.m. The email sent on Wednesday, November 13 will include instructions detailing how to purchase your ticket online. Eligible students who do not wish to pay online may pay in person to the Ticket Office in Coleman Coliseum. Student tickets for the SEC Championship game will be $60.
All student tickets must be picked up in person at the game site in Atlanta, Ga., with two forms of valid photo identification – UA Action Card AND a government issued ID. All identification presented must match the ticket holder of record who is attempting to pick up the ticket. SEC Championship tickets may not be transferred to another student. Students who wish to sit together should pick up tickets together in Atlanta so that seats can be allocated together.
If you have any further questions, please contact the Ticket Office at 205-348-BAMA.
Why post this here? Aren’t there non-Bam rules in the Barn? Well this basically means Auburn is going to lose the Iron Bowl, so we need this for documentation purposes when it possibly (most likely) becomes a joke in a few weeks. Hashtag pompous.
