Marshall definitely has the potential to be a big time QB. His leadership skills are palpable, and I think that the team is beginning to respond well to him at the helm of the offense. The receivers are gaining their swagger back a bit, and I anticipate that they will continue to go uphill. If Nick can manage games (see AJ McCarron – although I hate him), we can be a 10 win team.

Pending progress at home with Miss State and a convincing (enough) win, it will be interesting to see the match up with LSU in Baton Rouge. If the D can step up when the pressure is on, we could be in for a heck of a season.

Granted I’m a little optimistic, I think that our biggest downfall at the QB position in the last 2 or 3 years was the leadership ability of the quarterback. If the D can avoid standing on Nick Marshall’s shoulders and produce it will pay dividends to our final record.
