Has It Really Only Been Two Years?
Much has happened since that glorious night in Glendale, AZ two years ago today. Games were won, coaches left, games were lost, coaches have been fired, and coaches have returned. That's a lot for a two year span. In a way it feels like yesterday, but it also feels like it was a decade ago. Either way, we'll always have it.
If you have the time, here's the entire 2010 BCS National Championship Game. Or was it the 2011 game for the 2010 season? Nick Fairley is still confused about that.
2012-2013 WarBlogle.com Bowl Pick ‘em Results
After that thing that was supposed to be a football game last night, the 2012 football season came to an end. It was terrible in every way, wasn't it? I mean, really, take away the fact that Alabama is Auburn's rival. Think about the season as a whole. It just wasn't a good one. I'm not even talking about Auburn. It was boring, and less exciting than I remember college football being in a long time.
One person that may have enjoyed last night, as much as an Auburn fan could have enjoyed last night, was the winner of the 2013-2013 WarBlogle.com Bowl Pick 'em. As was the case last year, ESPN doesn't tell me this person's real name or email, so I'll just have to put it out there in hopes that come calling for their prize.
So Mr. or Mrs. bljonespc08, come on down. You are the winner. Wait, is that Barret Jones? Come on, man. But seriously, Mr. or Mrs. Jones took the top spot with a record of 27-7. No, he didn't even make a pick for the first game and he/she didn't touch his confidence points. Makes you feel good, doesn't it? He/She has won their choice of a WarBlogle.com t-shirt or my worst Christmas present, which has to be this awful Cliff Huxtable-style sweater I got from my Aunt Marge Blogle.
Here's the top 10, or go to the group page and see where you landed (I was 51st out of 267).
Thanks again to everybody who joined. To everybody who did not, you're so cool. Let's do it again next year.
2012/2013 Bowl Predictions – Week 4
Not a good week last week, but come on. Twenty games. That's ridiculous. Going 9-11 isn't THAT bad considering the games we all had to suffer through, is it? Oh well, this week is much easier. We've got two good games, and two games you wouldn't watch if your mama made you. It's almost over, guys. 2013, the season of the Gus is almost here.

AT&T Cotton Bowl (7 p.m. FOX)
Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma - Johnny Manziel is big time now. Johnny Manziel is NBA courtside. Johnny Manziel is everywhere. Johnny Manziel has a football game to play... with his offensive coordinator gone. Johnny could begin his sophomore slump right now. I think A&M is the better team, but they have definitely had the most distractions in the last month, at least in terms of the star of the team.
I have a feeling he can fight through it and get the win, but I also feel like Oklahoma would like to put it to the guys who just the left their league. After giving it two more seconds of thought, the Aggies will win because they are just better.
Texas A&M 34, Oklahoma 20
Texas A&M 41, Oklahoma 13 - SUCCESS!
2012/2013 Bowl Predictions – Week 3
Well, I went perfect with my picks last week (7-0). The only blemish on my entire bowl record is due to the Mormons. I'm kidding (sorta). So now we've officially hit the meat of the bowl schedule. Why do I say that? There are twenty games between today and next Thursday. TWENTY. And I predicted every single one of them. You better read them all. They are full of snark and packed with accuracy. Have fun.

Ohio vs. UL-Monroe - AUBURN BEAT A BOWL TEAM! AUBURN BEAT A BOWL TEAM! AUBURN BEAT A BOWL TEAM!
AUBURN BEAT A BOWL WINNER! AUBURN BEAT A BOWL WINNER! AUBURN BEAT A BOWL WINNER! (I think.)
UL-Monroe 31, Ohio 23
Ohio 45, UL-Monroe 14 - FAILURE
2012/2013 Bowl Predictions – Week 2
Bowl season gets in full swing over the next week, but don't expect any big games anytime soon. I guess it's still football, right? Meh, I guess. I started off 2-0 last week, but BYU ruined my perfect picks just last night, or that's what I heard. I definitely wasn't watching it.
Oh, if you're looking for a prediction of tonight's monumental matchup between Ball State and UCF in theĀ Beef 'O' Brady's St. Petersburg Bowl it's in last week's post. Remember, these predictions go from Saturday to Friday. Confusing, I know. Actually, scratch that. I'm going to make them Friday to Thursday from now on, and post them on Friday like I am today. That's better. Got it? Good.
Bowl Season: 10-1 (90.9%)

R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl (11 a.m. ESPN)
East Carolina vs. Louisiana-Lafayette - If you ever had an argument for there being too many bowl games, this game would be your best bet to win. From the name of the bowl, which is just ridiculous, to the two teams playing in it, it's just all stupid. I don't care or want to care who wins this game, but since I actually heard Louisiana-Lafayette's name this year because they almost beat Florida, I'll pick them to win.
Louisiana-Lafayette 34, East Carolina 24
Louisiana-Lafayette 43, East Carolina 34 - SUCCESS!
2012/2013 Bowl Predictions – Week 1
Well the regular season is over and bowl season is here. I had a pretty strong season in terms of picking games, the best ever actually. I guess once I didn't have to worry about Auburn anymore, I was able to focus more thought on other games. I think I'll sacrifice next season though. I'll take a winning football season over a strong prediction season anytime.
As I've always done, the games each week will go from Saturday to Friday. The first week is a little lighter than normal, but that's okay. We need to ease into the worst bowl slate I've ever seen.
Bowl Season: 3-1 (75.0%)
Regular Season: 110-32 (77.5%)
Overall: 113-33 (77.4%)

Gildan New Mexico Bowl (12 p.m. ESPN)
Nevada vs. Arizona - Nevada has two one-point losses and then some very ugly losses this season. Arizona has some very close losses and then some very ugly losses this season. Arizona's ugly losses came to some pretty good teams (Oregon, UCLA). Nevada's bigger losses came to teams like Fresno State and Air Force. There's your difference.
Arizona 38, Nevada 21
Arizona 49, Nevada 48 - SUCCESS!
Join the 2012-13 WarBlogle.com Bowl Pick ‘em!
We've done this for a few years now, so why not? Auburn won't be playing in any bowl games this year, so you can use your fully objective brain to pick the winners for all 2,827 bowls. The group motto is even "No Auburn means no pressure." It's refreshing sometimes, isn't it? No?
As it was last year, the winner will either receive a WarBlogle.com t-shirt of their choice or one of my Christmas presents. Note: if you are giving me a present this year, don't let this be your present, if you know what I'm saying.

To join, you will need an ESPN.com account. Just click 'Register' at the top right of the page, or login with the username you already have. Once you are logged in, go here to join the group. The password is 'warblogle'.
Also like last year, I am using their confidence-based system. After making your picks, you will rank the games in order of your confidence level. The game you are least confident with will only count as one point, and your most confident pick will count as 35 points.

2011 WarBlogle.com Bowl Pick ‘em Results
As the 2011 football season ended last night, so did the 2011 WarBlogle.com Bowl Pick 'em. I know it's hard to believe, but you won't find my name anywhere near the top of the list of 258 participants. I wanted to be fair and let someone else win, and that person was, well, I don't know. I know their username is "dam63083" and that's about it.
ESPN does not give me an email or real name to go along with participants. So Mr. or Mrs. dam63083, you have two weeks to claim your prize of a WarBlogle.com t-shirt of your choice, or one of my Christmas presents, which I've narrowed down to a package of five Hanes boxer briefs or a Saturday Night Live board game. Shoot me a message quick or these illustrious gifts will be yours no longer.
Update: David Mattox claims he is the man behind the account "dam63083," and I guess I believe him. He turned down the underwear and the board game and has requested this shirt from the WarBlogle.com Store. David, you'll receive it by the time... well, I'll just say you'll get it before you die, provided you don't die in the next few years or so. Congrats.
Here are the top 10. You can view the full results and find out where you landed here.
