Week 7 Predictions: All in the Family

Week 6 was not good. I got cocky with a decent start to the season and decided to take some leaps. Well, I mean, there were some “upsets” last week. So yeah, that was it.

Last week: 4-5 (44.4%)
This week: 6-2 (75.0%)
Overall: 60-20 (75.0%)

Week 7 is all SEC. Mississippi State and Kentucky are off, but everybody else is playing another SEC team. That should thin the herd a little. Especially that Georgia-LSU one. Let’s pick.

10/13

Florida at Vanderbilt – The Gators surely have the big head after giving LSU a loss they’ve deserved for a few weeks. The problem is that Vanderbilt isn’t good enough to do anything about it.

Florida 31, Vanderbilt 10

Florida 37, Vanderbilt 27 SUCCESS!

Georgia at LSU – Georgia isn’t near as good as last year. LSU isn’t near as good as their record, but they will have the home crowd, and did I say that Georgia isn’t near as good as last year. It will be enough.

LSU 28, Georgia 27

LSU 36, Georgia 16 SUCCESS!

Texas A&M at South Carolina – Somehow South Carolina got the two Western-most teams back-to-back at home. This is a tough one. Texas A&M is good enough to win, but they can also lose it, too. And Jake Bentley will be back. Yeah, I just don’t think the Gamecocks can do it.

Texas A&M 24, South Carolina 14

Texas A&M 26, South Carolina 23 SUCCESS!

Missouri at Alabama – Dixieland Delight is back so that Alabama fans can show how trashy it is.

Alabama 45, Missouri 14

Alabama 39, Missouri 10 SUCCESS!

Ole Miss at Arkansas – Arkansas showed some life last week. Ole Miss can blowout any bad team. Is Arkansas at home a really bad team? Ehh… yes, but no. The Hawgs get their 2nd win.

Arkansas 34, Ole Miss 31

Ole Miss 37, Arkansas 33 FAILURE

Tennessee at Auburn – Check back tomorrow for my prediction in the game preview, but SPOILER ALERT: a back-on-track beatdown.

Auburn 38, Tennessee 13

Tennessee 30, Auburn 24 FAILURE

Other Games of Note

Washington at Oregon – Since losing to Auburn in their first game, Washington has been winning. Oregon has one loss as well, a touchdown loss against a Top 10 team (Stanford). As much as I want to keep Auburn’s resume at its best, Oregon will win at home.

Oregon 31, Washington 27

Oregon 30, Washington 27 SUCCESS!

Wisconsin at Michigan – Both of these teams think they’re big time. Both of these teams can’t win the Big 10, so they can’t be big time. Because this one is being played in the Big House, Harbaugh and his khakis will take the victory.

Michigan 21, Wisconsin 7

Michigan 38, Wisconsin 13 SUCCESS!

Now that you know who will win, head on over to the 2018 War Blogle Pick ’em and get your picks in. There will be weekly prizes and an overall winner at the end of the season. It’s easy. Do it.
