Ranking the SEC after Week 4

After the 4th week of the season, we are starting to figure out who the worst teams are. I’m not sure if we know about the top half. Oh, and YOU’LL NEVER GUESS WHERE I HAVE AUBURN.

poll4

1. Alabama (4-0)

They are literally just playing Jalen Hurts at this point so he won’t leave. I guess we’ll find out this week if it worked.

Last week: ranked #1, beat Texas A&M 45-23

2. Georgia (4-0)

Hey guys, I don’t think Georgia is that awesome. They were gifted a touchdown at Missouri and if the Tigers didn’t give up a blocked punt and 87 other turnovers, this one would’ve turned out very differently.

Last week: ranked #2, beat Missouri 43-29

3. LSU (4-0)

Still not convinced that LSU isn’t just winning certain games on leftover Les Miles voodoo. They are barely above average. They stink it up against Southeastern Louisiana, don’t pull away from Louisiana Tech until late, yet play good enough to beat an Auburn team that played just good enough to win the game.

Last week: ranked #3, beat Louisiana Tech 38-21

4. Auburn (3-1)

The defense is good enough to win every game. The offense needs one tweak to make that an absolute guarantee.

Last week: ranked #4, beat Arkansas 34-3

5. Kentucky (4-0)

Doesn’t it seem like Kentucky has started strong the last few years only to fall off and be Kentucky? While I’m glad they knocked Mississippi State off their high (dark) horse, I’m not sure it means they are a great team just yet.

Last week: ranked #9, beat Mississippi State 28-7

6. Texas A&M (2-2)

The Aggies were a point behind Clemson and gave Alabama their toughest test yet (not saying much). I think they are a decent team that hasn’t been able to handle two Top 5 teams. Not sure if that affects them the rest of the season.

Last week: ranked #6, lost at Alabama 45-23

7. Missouri (3-1)

The Tigers love to hang with Georgia on sunny 11 am games. It’s what they do. If they’d stop dropping the ball, they could’ve actually beaten Georgia.

Last week: ranked #8, lost to Georgia 43-29

8. Ole Miss (3-1)

Ole Miss seems to be slipping down into the Ole Miss we expected this season. They were tied 7-7 at halftime against Kent State and didn’t pull away until late.

Last week: ranked #7, beat Kent State 38-17

9. Mississippi State (3-1)

Thought y’all had the best defense in the universe.

Last week: ranked #5, lost at Kentucky 28-7

10. South Carolina (2-1)

Still not sure what to think about the Gamecocks. I think they’re decent, but they did get blown out at home by Georgia.

Last week: ranked #10, beat Vanderbilt 37-14

11. Florida (3-1)

The Gators are so pumped after beating Tennessee. Last I checked, this wasn’t Wuerffel vs. Manning.

Last week: ranked #12, beat Tennessee 47-21

12. Vanderbilt (2-2)

Same ol’ Vandy…

Last week: ranked #11, lost to South Carolina 37-14

13. Tennessee (2-2)

The Vols are ecstatic that Arkansas exists.

Last week: ranked #13, lost to Florida 47-21

14. Arkansas (1-3)

It’s not every day that your opponent gains less than 300 yards, also less yards than you, and you get beaten by 31 points. That takes talent.

Last week: ranked #14, lost at Auburn 34-3

Do you agree with these rankings? What did I get wrong? Leave yours in the comments.
