At 9:30 am (Hawaii time), the Auburn basketball Tigers tipped off with the Lobos of New Mexico today in the Diamond Head Classic. In both halves, New Mexico started off making ridiculous shots and getting ridiculous calls, but eventually Auburn took over by the end of the half.
The game came down to the final minute, but just like the Mercer game, Auburn pulled away with a three-pointer from Kareem Canty and an alley-oop. The Tigers play Harvard in the semi-finals tomorrow at 3:30 CT on ESPNU.
