On a Thursday night in Manhattan, Kansa, the Auburn Tigers took on the Kansas State Wildcats of the Big 12 Conference. Despite a raucous crowd of 53,000, Auburn was able to go on the road and beat a ranked non-conference opponent for the first time since 1984. They won the game 20-14.
