That Auburn Country Music Video Played at A-Day

This Auburn-themed song is called “Great to Be” by aspiring country singer, Donica Knight. It was played before and after the 2013 A-Day game this past Saturday. I’ve heard a mixture of reactions, but many have asked where they could find it. I will not offer my opinion because I’m a nice guy, but I actually already did.

Supposedly it was an independent venture, done outside the money and marketing of Auburn. If you want to buy this song, you can do so here. What are your thoughts?

Where can you find Colt Ford’s?

It’s called Tailgate, auburn version. It’s on spotify, but it may be a little easier to find on google first. Really its just his Tailgate song with like 2 auburn themed lyrics at the beginning, that are interchanged for every school that he did it for. Cool for crowds at tailgates because most people haven’t heard it, but when you listen to every other school’s version and realize its the exact same song it looses its novelty.

This is beyond cheesy and embarrassing.

At first I thought this inst bad but then I realized I liked it only because of the football clips but the song is actually super cheesy. I hope that this is not actually played in the stadium…again..

I did not think it was possible for me to dislike hearing “War Eagle”, but she managed it. It’s a battle cry, not a chorus! I wish her the best in her music, but please no more football pump up videos.

Absolutely horrid. I am going to be VERY upset if this becomes a game day thing. This is the genesis of my “What. The. Hell.” tweet from Saturday. Bad, bad, bad.

Very much so. I have no doubt she’s a good singer, but she has absolutely zero heart in the song and it comes out cheesy and to me it seems like a ploy she used to get massive recognition really quickly by having auburn give into it. Cute girl, I’m sure she has a pretty voice, but I’m slightly offended by the lack of effort she put into the song overall.

How can we tell the University to trash this video and never allow it to pollute Jordan Hare and AUHD again? Ever. It’s embarrassing. Does she name anyone on the song? If so she should be sued for defamation of character.

She can definitely sing but the song is horrible. I don’t think should dance anymore either. There were some good football highlights though!

I agree, it’s pretty bad. The poor acting in the video doesn’t help. Sorry…just being honest. War Eagle anyway!

It’s like listening to a politician. Buzz Word. Buzz Word.

As an Auburn grad and native, this made me cringe harder than “Let the Eagle Fly”… this is miserable.

This is so bad, I didn’t think it was real. Then I hear it’s played TWICE by Auburn… this is BAD. Very Bad.

What don’t I like about it (since a critic should explain)? Cheesy, corny, horribly written, amateurish, sophomoric, if it’s a country song, it doesn’t sound country. Why are there fake trumpets in the background of the song? It sounds like a horribly written ditty for a local car commercial.

I hate that this exists. “Made in the shade?” “Big Tiger Eat”?

Video doesn’t even sync up with the song; her lipsyncing is abysmal. This is just. so. bad.

If you have any clout with AU’s production dept, for the love of Auburn, do what you can to keep this out of JHS.

This needs to go away.

Can we send her a cease and desist letter and have all copies and the original destroyed? This is beyond terrible.

It depends on how many glasses of coffee you might be making.
You may have a very particular make of appliance for which you
have a great admiration as well as perhaps they also provide a thermal
carafe coffee maker. You simply squeeze t-disc in the brewbot
the other way up, the brewbot scans it and yes it makes your drink.

AThe Stephen Joseph backpack will solve this problem for it comes with a personalize design.

With school books, notebooks, computers, video games, cell phones (not to mention snacks and water bottles), all having become “must have”
items. Human beings would have a greater chance at a longer lifespan if the world’s air and water were
cleaner and free of chemicals.

That’s my take on things and that is why you have to do your reasearch
and not just buy a set of cookware because it looks pretty.
Never use any shortcut methods while cooking, handling and cleaning cookware unless you are hundred percent sure of its success.

At home, you most certainly will be able to wake up and enjoy the
scent of cooking bacon and brewing coffee.
