Statues of Heisman Winners to be Unveiled at A-Day

As I predicted a few weeks back in a Mailbag entry (where have those things gone?), the statues for Auburn's three Heisman winners will be unveiled, dedicated, whatever you do to statues on April 14th, 2012, which just happens to be A-Day. The presentation will begin at 10 am, obviously before the game, with Bo, Cam, and Pat scheduled to attend.

The unveiling will obviously occur on the East side of the stadium (where the students enter). I say obviously because the spots for the statues have been there since the announcement was made that statues were being created.

I'm not really sure how this is going to work logistically. As you know, there is a Tiger Transit-only road that runs right by the statues, with a very large Tiger Transit stop just beside it. Bottom line, it's going to be very hard for a very large crowd to fit in or around that area and still get a good look at the presentation. Honestly, going to the top of the upper deck and looking over the edge may be the best view, but I doubt they open the gates until the presentation is over.

Either way, that's when it's happening and that's where it's happening. I'm sure they'll make it work somehow because all we do is win, no matter what. I'll keep you updated on any other details.

Update: I was just reminded that the top of the parking deck may be a perfect vantage point. But don't go up there until you see that I have a good spot.
