Auburn is Losing a Leaper, but Gaining Another Soon
My manly affection for Kenny Gabriel has been well documented in this space, and sadly, tomorrow is the last time we get to see him play in Auburn Arena (unless the Tigers play a home game in the NIT). But dry your eyes, the rim-rocking duties look to be in good hands with signee Shaquille Johnson coming to the Plains next season.
His abilities have been documented in this space as well, and on Wednesday, in a high school playoff game, he added another example of what we’ll be sure to see over the next few years.
It’s probably not a good thing that I’m overly excited about a future player while the current season is still going on, but yeah…
