Not only was last year the best year in Auburn football history, it was also a great year for the now customary intro videos that are played just before kickoff. It may sound crazy to other fan-bases, but the quality of the videos, and more importantly the songs used in those videos, have become a huge deal to Auburn students and fans. When I was kid, I looked forward to the players busting through the paper as they ran onto the field. Now everyone expects some killer videos to get them pumped.
As you may remember, last year there were three videos: T-Will’s “Tiger Walk,” “All I Do Is Win,” and the slow classical one. “All I Do Is Win” was obviously the favorite and caught on pretty quickly. By mid-season even old grandmas knew exactly when to throw their hands up. I have no idea what the school is going to do with the song this year. In a way I see them continuing to use it because of it’s popularity, but I also see them moving on because this is an entirely different team.
As I tweeted yesterday, I have been given a song that has been written and recorded to possibly be used in one of the intro videos for the 2011 season. The name of the song is “Boom (All In)” by a Auburn-based rock band named BrokenRail. I went to high school with the guitar player who is also an Auburn grad. The rest of the band consists of current Auburn students or alumni as well.
Here’s the backstory of how the song came about: former Auburn wide receiver-turned-rapper Robert Dunn (DunnCity) was contacted by Auburn to write a song for one of the videos. Dunn then contacted BrokenRail about writing a rock song that he could rap along with (I am so white). The song was written and recorded, and as far as I know Dunn is working his part now. If I had a guess, I would say this song would replace T-Will’s, but I don’t know anything for sure about that.
You can listen BrokenRail’s full version of the song below, and if you really like it you can buy it for $0.99 on iTunes. I like it more every time I hear it, especially the guitar part. Imagine all the big hits in the video going along with all the big hits in the song and it will definitely get you pumped. If you liked the 2008 intro video that used Saliva’s “Ladies and Gentlemen,” I think you’ll like this one, too.
Again, this is not official. They were just contacted by Robert Dunn who was contacted by Auburn to do an intro video song. If the Dunn piece doesn’t work out, the band’s goal is to have Auburn use the song regardless. We’ll see what happens, but go ahead and have a listen and let me know what you think.

I think we should have some sort of montage that features top poker players saying “ALL IN” with flashes of Auburn fans holding “ALL IN” signs followed by headlines of all the crap that Auburn went through followed by a great play (there were hundreds to choose from in 2010)
I absolutely think we should use this song, regardless of whether or not the Dunn part comes through.
I’m actually not a huge fan of this. I just don’t think they can top All I Do Is Win. There was not a single time that I was sitting in the student section when it came on that I didn’t get chills.
I like the song. The guitar player you speak of is actually in my wedding in June. Good guy, played music with him for years. I do think they should use this song but I also think that Dunn’s part will make it better assuming that his part is good. There was something lacking in the song but nonetheless it’s very good. Video wise… I could see it being more of a “Tiger Walk” thing instead of a tunnel video but once Dunn’s part get’s in we’ll see how it turns out. WDE
Why can’t we use ‘All I do is Win’ until we actually lose? Better yet, just show T. Bell knocking McElroy out of the Iron Bowl over and over again, with plenty of cut shots of McElory eyes rolling in the back of his head.
That song is turrible. Did they contact the people who wrote “Friday” for the lyrics?
I don’t think this song fits with all of auburn. I don’t see an entire stadium getting pumped over it. I’m not a big fan.
