To Glendale and Back: A Video Retrospective

UPDATE: I have given in to the man and split the video up into three parts. Part 1 is all Vegas. Parts 2 and 3 are the bus trip to Glendale and everything that follows. I also put them on YouTube so they should load a little bit quicker.

UPDATE #2: I realized that I wasn't exporting the videos in HD. I have fixed that.

Here's a quick rundown of what you are about to see: a 29-minute video (cut down from three hours) of the 'Blogler and Beautiful Blogle's trip from Birmingham to Glendale, complete with a country accent speaking all kinds of hatred for Bammers and Ducks. I tried to keep it mostly Auburn-related, but I had to show you a little bit of Vegas.

Oh, and if you're wondering what a vlog might look like on the 'Blogle, I guess this would be it, minus about 15 minutes and the home movie-type ramblings/descriptions of what you are seeing.

You may not care for most of this, but at least get to the stuff from inside the stadium. Hopefully it will give you a taste of the humongously pro-Auburn atmosphere.

Part 2:

Part 3:

What do you think? Did you make it past the first two minutes? Is this something you'd like to see more often? I mean videos of me behind the camera at Auburn events, not just at the BCS Championship. I know you'd love to see that every year.

About The WarBlogler

Auburn grad (B.S. in C.S., 2004), loving husband, and new dad that believes Auburn should and could go undefeated in every sport, every year (if you don't think the same, you're not a realist, you're a pessimist). That's pretty much it.

  1. Enjoyed this a lot! I think you should do something similar but on a smaller scale for the games you attend next season. Maybe like a 3-4 minute deal or just do a vlog. WDE

  2. Thanks for this. I liked it, though I feel almost as tired as you do at the end cause I downloaded it this morning (you were right, it loaded slow) and then watched it in 2-5 min increments throughout the day as I had time and now it is the end of the day and I’m exhausted, though not from the vlog. I do think it was probably too long, but hey, it’s the National Championship journey, so it’s okay. If you could have posted it in small segments throughout the travel, I would have loved that! and I’m sure everyone else would have as well, but that is my selfish talking. I guess I’m just as glad you could film and enjoy the trip without having to worry about editing and posting. As it turned out, the Ice Event kept the Internet down, anyway. Glad you got home safely, I thought about you more than once, hoping you’d managed to get away before you got stuck in the South.

  3. Still waiting on video to load some more, but I feel sorry for your wife, hope she was wearing her seatbelt!!! LOL Video while driving is not a safe practice. ;) HAHA!
I was there to see my daughter in the band and took countless hours of video and made them short a frequent that way friends and family could go to youtube and watch them at their convenience. However, as an AUMB mom who lives all the way in Ohio, I would love to see videos from the games! DO IT!

  4. I thought it was excellent. I look forward to seeing today’s championship celebration video!

  5. Finally watched this. Great Video

  6. Appreciate your sharing. I wish you had a tripod, or monopod or steady cam but otherwise great.
