Week 9 Predictions

This Week: 8-1
Last Week: 8-1
Overall: 72-17 (80.0%)

10/31

Georgia vs. Florida (Jacksonville, FL) - The last few weeks Florida has struggled, as much as the undefeated, top-ranked, reigning SEC and National Champions can struggle. Georgia has looked great against bad teams and terrible against any team with a pulse.

Regardless of their recent struggles, Florida has a pretty strong pulse and will blow out the Bulldogs. Mark Richt starts sending out feelers.

Florida 37, Georgia 14

Florida 41, Georgia 17 - SUCCESS

Eastern Michigan at Arkansas - Lots of points by the Razorbacks' offense. More points than any SEC team should give up to Eastern Michigan by the Razorbacks' defense.

Arkansas 54, Eastern Michigan 27

Arkansas 63, Eastern Michigan 27 - SUCCESS (Check out that score)

Mississippi State at Kentucky - Mississippi State had its largest crowd in history last week in their game against Florida, and almost knocked off the Gators. Kentucky has looked semi-impressive over the last few weeks.

You can't go from home against the Gators to away against Kentucky without having some sort of letdown. There will be a major letdown for the Bulldogs this week.

Kentucky 24, Mississippi State 13

Mississippi State 31, Kentucky 24 - FAILURE

Georgia Tech at Vanderbilt - Wow Vandy...look at you...getting a big time ACC team to come to your place. Too bad you're terrible.

Georgia Tech runs the triple option. They will only need one to beat the Commodores.

Georgie Tech 35, Vanderbilt 10

Georgie Tech 56, Vanderbilt 31 - SUCCESS

South Carolina at Tennessee - Lane Kiffin has brought more excitement to a team with four losses than I have ever seen. They should have won last week, and everybody knows it.

South Carolina hangs with Alabama then barely beats Vanderbilt the following week, right on cue with their annual second-half slide.

The Vols officially start that slide.

Tennessee 31, South Carolina 10

Tennessee 31, South Carolina 13 - SUCCESS (Check out that score)

Tulane at LSU - Blah, blah, blah.

LSU 34, Tulane 7

LSU 42, Tulane 0 - SUCCESS

Ole Miss at Auburn - I have no clue. The kind of problems that Auburn's offense are the kind that tend to leave as quickly as they came. If or when that will happen is anybody's guess. I just want Auburn to knock Jevan Snead's head off.

Auburn 27, Ole Miss 24

Auburn 33, Ole Miss 20 - SUCCESS

Other Games That Might Tickle Your Fancy

USC at Oregon - In one game Oregon nullifies 742 hours of ESPN's pre-produced USC hype footage.

Oregon 34, USC 24

Oregon 47, USC 20 - SUCCESS

Texas at Oklahoma State - This was almost my upset of the week, then I remembered that Okie State lost to Houston, and that they never live up to their hype.

Plus, for reasons that I don't need to explain, I want Texas to win.

Texas 31, Oklahoma State 27

Texas 41, Oklahoma State 14 - SUCCESS

Upset of the Week

Indiana at Iowa - I will continue to pick Iowa to get beat in the upset of the week until their luck runs out.

Indiana 17, Iowa 14

Iowa 42, Indiana 24
