Auburn Looking For a Great Year in 2010

Anyone who’s looking for a great college football betting pick needs to look no further than Auburn, Alabama. That’s where Gene Chizik is set to open up his second campaign as coach of the Auburn Tigers.

It’s safe to say that Chizki was a hit in Year 1, as the former Iowa State coach led the Tigers to a very impressive 8-5 record (6-7 ATS). And he may be back with an even more talented squad in 2010.

Leading the charge at Auburn is new quarterback Cam Newton. If the name Cam Newton sounds familiar, it’s because he was formerly Tim Tebow’s backup at Florida. After a year at Blinn College in Texas, Newton is back to lead this high-flying offense attack.

And when you combine Newton’s big arm with the talent around him, there’s plenty of reason why Auburn is the college football betting pick to make coming into 2010. Back are wide receivers Darvin Adams (60 catches) and Terrell Zachary (26 catches) as well as second leading rusher Onterio McCalebb. They’ll be joined by one of the top running backs in high school last year, Michael Dyer, who’s expected to make an immediate impact.

Auburn is a favorite amongst many to take down the SEC West, but will face an always daunting schedule. Most of their big games are at home though, with South Carolina, Arkansas, LSU and Georgia all visiting the Plains. Of course their regular season will end with a trip to rival Alabama, which is never an easy game.

Still, there might not be a better college football betting pick coming into this season than the Auburn Tigers. Be sure to get your wagers in early on Auburn now, in hopes that the dividends will pay off big later!
