It’s Georgia Week

carnell.jpgWell, we’re to the part of the year that Pat Dye called ‘Amen Corner’; the part of the season that most Auburn fans truly only care about.

Yes, it was absolutely awesome to beat Florida, and yes, we should have beaten LSU, but these two games are what matters most. Most of us don’t live in Florida or Louisiana. We live right next door to someone who pulls for Georgia or Alabama. Right next door to a person that you would love if they pulled for Auburn, or if college football never existed, but since they pull for the Dawgs or the Tide (apparently red water is scary) we know for a fact that they are trading government secrets or know where Bin Laden is, and that we wouldn’t…well I’ll keep it clean, let’s just say we wouldn’t do something if they were burning alive and we had to go number 1 (got it?). They’ve probably never done anything wrong to us personally, but donning that “Got Twelve” t-shirt and mullet, or barking at me when I go take out the trash, makes me want slap their 2 year old baby. Anyway, my point is, we live with these idiots, and we don’t want to hear “woof, woof” or “ro’ tie! (yes tie)” all year so we better win these two games, and we should win these two games. But I’ll talk more about our toothless brethren across the state in the next two weeks. For now, it’s Georgia week.

So Georgia has this freshman, Knowshon Moreno, that is supposedly good, and this week there have been comments about him being very similar to Cadillac. Uh yeah, play more than one season, and we can say that. And also supposedly he is the 15th coming of Herschel Walker. How many freshman running backs has UGA declared Herschel Jr. only for the guy to end up sitting at the end of the bench by his junior year? Danny Ware, anyone? You would have thought this kid was turning water to wine the way they talked two or three years ago.

And who cares if he was limited by injuries? Cadillac broke his leg 15 times. William Wallace took an arrow to the chest and was having his spleen removed and burned right in front of him and he still mustered up the guts to yell “FREEEEDOM”. That gave me chill bumps just to type that. So shutup with the Cadillac and Herschel Jr. talk. He’s run for some yards, so what? Darren McFadden has run for thousands more, but didn’t do anything against us. We’ll see how fast little Knowshon runs when Josh Thompson flashes his tats at him.

And seriously…his name is Knowshon? Do you know him? Who? Shon. Do you Knowshon? I mean yes we’ve got our Sen’Derricks and our Eltorros, but Knowshon? Was his birth like, “here you go Ms. Moreno, it’s a baby boy, and look at those legs, he may be able to walk on water”. All of sudden a nurse walks in and says, “Some guy out here is asking for you, Ms. Moreno. He says his name is Shawn. Do you know Shawn?” Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s how it went.

Anyway, I never like to act like Auburn is going to win anything or proclaim that we’ll win 52-0. I know how weird college football is, and I know that nothing matters in these two games. I know that we have an awesome record in Athens, and still have our 15 game winning streak in white uniforms, so we’ve got that working for us. Hopefully, the trends will continue, and the Georgia team that was manhandled by Tennessee, who was manhandled by pitiful Alabama, will show up and we’ll be the team that played against Florida, with a little more offense in the third quarter. If those teams show up, we should put ’em out early. War Eagle and post your thoughts!

I never said he was still playing. I said everyone thought he was Herschel Jr. and now they think the same of Know Shawn.

What did you think about Saturday. It was pretty impresive HUH. Knowshawn the next Herschel, I believe he is proving himself more and more. He ran over yall didnt he. Did he run more than McFadden oh yeah I think he did. You should probably wait till after the game before you write things. Take it one week at a time okay buddy. And by the way did whats his name flash his tats because I dont think Brown nor Knowshawn saw them. Let me refresh your memory 45 to 20 I believe it was. That was worse than last year. Sorry we ended anything yall thought yall had this season but better luck in the future. And you did say Danny Ware was on the bench by his Junior year…….

my only excuse is this….we actually stopped “Know Shawn” very well the first half, but our secondary sucked it up and let 3 bombs get over their heads so for the rest of the game they were so worried about the deep ball that we stopped looking for the run. and really if you look at his runs in the second half, did it look like anyone was even close to him, my 400 lb sister could have run through those holes, but these are just excuses. my whole point was, dont say he’s herschel or cadillac until he’s done this for years. not 5 games. oh and this game doesn’t bother me anymore. after what I saw with Mark Richt’s new coaching style, you can have your thugs. I’ll enjoy watching UGA go down as the next Convict University. Way to go Richt, let your 19 year old players do whatever they wanna do.

Just because he loosened up and he is letting them have fun doesnt mean he is letting them do what they want. Coach Richt is one of the most disipli9ned coaches in the NCAA. He has spanked yall 2 years in a row and how many times in his reign here have we beaten yall. I would be bashing him if I was you too. You cant just watch the run or throw you have to be ready for both. Your secendary sucked and your line sucked. Knowshawn did not carry the ball near as much as he has in the past 3 or 4 games and still rushed for over 100 yards. Think what would have happened if he would have ran it the whole time. THUGS you have lost your mind. We have one of the highest GPA teams in the NCAA how do you call that thugs. Every team has a few on there but that is the ones the other teams are scared to be near. You have a few on yalls too. We will see how the rest of the year goes and we will see yall next year. I cant wait to do it in your stadium its going to be so fun. Thugs I laugh at that hahahahaha

actually yes he is, he even told them to do the most classless act of running on the field to celebrate. if another team did that, you’d think the same thing. he used to discipline the most, not anymore, he allows his players to celebrate excessively, dance all over the field and sideline. and yes that is a great recruiting tool. but you’ll be recruiting the type of players that played at miami and fsu in the 90’s. the kind of player that wants to go to a school where they can do their own thing whether its classless or not. anyway, argument over, it’s going nowhere, my thoughts the downfall of UGA, however much a downfall you can have from the upper-middle tier of the SEC.

I was just trying to get a rise out of someone from another team. Auburn is a very classy team. Me personally I loved the celebration penelty in Jax. It motivated our team to do what we r doing now. I dont think it is something that will continue. Coach will get a grip on it. I really think we have more excitement and enthusiasm than we have in along time. I am an SEC fan. I cheer for Auburn when we are not playing them. I hate Fla and I hate Southern Cal. I was getting up-set with all this the first night but since then I was seeing how long we could keep it going. Go Dawgs and Go Tigers. Lets dominate this weekend and go for it all. I just looked at my schedule yall are off this weekend so GO DAWGS. Good luck in the Iron Bowl. I will just be watching my cousin is a huge Alabama fan so I will have to go for the tide that day. His uncle played for the Tide so I guess it is in his blood. It looks like the SEC is going to dominate the bowls this year. But anyway Kurt I will holla at you later.

Oh yeah and by the way my dog is named Tubby after Tommy Tubberville. Not my choice but I love him just as much if his name was UGA. We got him from one of the biggest War Eagles out there. Good night and God bless.

thanks, and as gay as it sounds, this is what is so great about SEC football, we can argue about who are the best teams in the best conference, rather than arguing about who’s going to win the monumental match-up of Oregon and Arizona tonight.

Great Article, the #’s don’t lie. I respect and love Richt as a man, but it is time for a chngae. Now write an article about Dan Mullen and Kirby Smart coming to UGA to get that elusive National Championship.
